In the second book of The Summer Fae our “holy crap, I’m an elf?!?” heroine has to fight. For herself and for her friends. (This is an unedited, raw first draft, WIP.) I typed THE END on this first draft last night!

She didn’t flinch as realization dawned that she was no longer going to run from any battle. The dragons joined the fight as she saw Jasper fly around to her left and burn ogres down the other side of the overhang. Rian landed behind her, expanded his massive wings, and shot flames overhead that flew out 200 yards. Everything coming up the side of the mountain changed its mind and left. She took advantage of the distraction and walked up behind two ogres and beheaded them. The blade went right through them so easily that if she hadn’t been looking she would not have known she cut anything.
