I noticed on Twitter this morning that Demi Moore was talking about the strength of our Inner Lights. Well, I wrote a poem about that a number of years ago and thought I would share it.

Inner Light
The flame inside each of us
should be turned up,
Enclosed in glass,
decorated with flowers
and never allowed to go out.

Each day spent warming the soul
will stand out against the rest.

Keep the fire burning,
growing,
feed it with thoughts,
hopes and dreams.

Dream each day
for a better tomorrow,
Somewhere out there,
Someone is listening.
