In 2017 I’m making changes to my writing schedule. Over the past few years, I’ve released one or two full length novels. It’s getting more difficult as I maintain a full time job.
So, I’m going back to my beginning and writing short. I began as a poet and I’ll return to writing poetry and short stories. After I DO , BUT FIRST… and FANGED DECEPTION release early in the year, I’ll make that transition and stick with it for at least a year.
There is a strong possibility I’ll put together annual anthologies with my short stories and poems to have at conventions.
The three covers you see here are all short stories.
I got up this morning to see the UK decided to leave the EU and Donald Trump’s first interview from Scotland included a promo spot for his new golf course.
The world is freaking pear shaped right now. It blows my mind. It shouldn’t… but it does.
Over here in Graylin land, I’m working on the second Contessa story. It’s tentatively titled I Do, But First… It will release this November. If I finish it earlier, I’ll change the date during the pre-order process.
Arcane Court – For those of you waiting for the fourth book Fanged Deception, it will release this December. Each full length novel of this series comes out a week or two before Halloween.
If you missed it earlier this year, I am now an official member of the Horror Writer’s Association. I’m still giddy about that. It’s the first, and only, professional association I’ve joined. I’m hoping to make it to the convention next year (StokerCon).
This fall, I’ll be appearing at the Indie Book Fest in Orlando October 7-9th. It’s a lovely convention, smaller with a lot more interaction. I hope to see you there!
That’s about it for this week. I’ve been swamped at my day job. Which is fabulous and I’m grateful there are people who trust me with their fragile pain so they can heal.
Off to write more fights!
Update: My distributor, both personal and for Dark Fantasy Press, is currently beta testing a paperback and hardcover distrubution option. My books are part of that test. Right now, Death Dealer is still available through Createspace but Red Lady fell into the Amazon “change of author name” hole and won’t be available until after the transition is completed.
These are normal growing pains for me as a publisher, thank you for your patience.
In a continuing effort to simplify my online life, I merged the Graylin Fox and Rane Sjodin websites. I’m now taking another step and going back to using Graylin Fox as my only pen name. The Candy Man Books will remain Graylin Rane. 😉 But the Arcane Court books, in mid-design change now – will be Graylin Fox books soon.
One name to organize them all…
